Does anyone still blog?

I don't have any idea about blogging.  My only real exposure is from TV shows and movies; Barney from How I Met your Mother blogs and everyone makes fun of him. Also that cooking chic flick movie but that movie sucked so I don't think it influenced me starting this blog.  So without putting too much thought into it, I think boredom is the main reason for me doing this.  I have joined twitter and facebook, and I am pretty sure that status updates and tweets are really just succinct blogs and since I have always been a little longwinded this blogging thing may be just what I need to really express myself!!  I guess we shall see....
